How manual payment acceptance works for online gateways.
1. overview of available payment gateways.
Gridaly supports integration with the most popular payment providers to give you the flexibility to accept payments from participants around the world. Available gateways include:
PayU - a popular gateway in Poland, offering a wide range of payment methods, including BLIK and fast transfers.
Stripe - a global platform for credit and debit card payments.
PayPal - an international online payment system recognized around the world.
Przelewy24 - another popular Polish gateway, offering comprehensive payment solutions.
Tpay - Polish payment operator, offering online transfers and BLIK, among other services.
Tip: Before choosing a gateway, read the table of fees and commissions of the given operator. For our part, we recommend Tpay due to the very favorable terms negotiated for Gridaly customers and our full support in the process of setting up and configuring the account. You can set them up using this link. Also make sure that the gateway you choose supports the currencies in which you plan to sell tickets.
2 Configure integration with payment gateway
To start accepting online payments, you must first link your account with your payment provider to the Gridaly platform. This process is done in your payment settings and requires you to enter your API keys, which you can find in your gateway's admin panel.
Step by step how to configure the gateway:
In the administration panel of your event, go to Orders → Payment Settings.
Go to the Payment Methods section . There you will find fields to enter the keys for each integrated gateway (e.g. Stripe, PayU).
Enter the appropriate API keys in the fields designated for the gateway you want to use. Typically, these are:
Public Key (Publishable Key)
Private Key (Secret Key)
Other gateway-specific data (e.g., POS ID for PayU).
Where to find the API keys?
API keys are confidential data that are used to authorize communication between Gridaly and your payment provider. You will find them when you log into your account with your provider (e.g. in your Stripe dashboard under "Developers" → "API keys"). Remember never to share your private keys with anyone.
4. after entering the keys, save the changes at the bottom of the page.
3. enabling and disabling payment methods
Once you have saved your API keys, you can activate a particular payment method to make it visible to participants on the registration form.
In the administration panel, go to Orders → Payment Settings → Payment Methods.
In the list of payment methods, find the one you want to activate (e.g. "Stripe").
Use the switch to enable or disable the method. The active method will be available to buyers.
Example: If you are organizing an international event, you can enable simultaneous payments via Stripe (for cards) and PayPal. If your recipients are mainly from Poland, activating Tpay or PayU would be a good choice.
4. manual payment acceptance
In some cases, you may want to manually verify incoming payments through online gateways before they are finally approved. This option can be useful for high-value payments or custom scenarios.
How to enable manual acceptance:
In the settings of a specific payment method(Settings → Payments → Payment methods), next to the activation switch, you will find the option "Manual payment acceptance".
Check the box to activate this feature.
Save the changes.
When this option is enabled, any new transaction made through this gateway will receive a status of "Awaiting confirmation." You will have to manually approve it in the Gridaly panel under the Orders tab , in order for the ticket to be sent to the participant.
