Create and configure promotional graphics
To create a new graphic template, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Go to the Promotional Graphics module.
In the administration panel of your event, in the menu on the left, go to RESOURCES.
Expand the tab Other.
Select Promotional Graphics.
Click the "Add" button , to start creating a new template.
Step 2: Complete the basic settings
In the first tab, "Basic", you will find the key options for configuring the template.
Name and Description - Enter the name and description of the graphic. You can do this in several languages.
Base graphic - Upload a graphic file that will be the background for the generated images. It is on it that the personalized data of the participants will appear.
Example of the graphic - Optionally, you can upload an example of the final graphic to show how it will look after personalization.
Visibility - Decide if the graphic should be visible on the landing page and for which roles it should be available.
โ ๏ธ Important:
The base graphic should be at least 600x600 pixels. If you plan to use avatars of participants, prepare a transparent space in the graphic , under which the photo will be inserted.
๐ก Tip:
The "Visible on landing page" option makes the graphic publicly available to anyone who enters the dedicated page (e.g. https://app. gridaly.com/promo-graphics/EVENT_NAME/GRAPHICS_NAME
). Remember, enabling this option ignores visibility settings for specific roles. If you want to restrict access only to selected groups of participants, do not check this option.
Step 3: Add personalized fields (the "Fields" tab).
This is where the magic happens. Under the "Fields" tab, you can add items that will be automatically populated with the participant's data.
Click the "+" icon to add a new field.
Select the Field Type from the list (e.g. Text, Avatar, Email).
In the Participant Field, indicate what data you want to retrieve from the participant's profile (e.g. Name, Avatar).
Customize the appearance and position of the field on the graphic using options such as:
Margins, Width, Height - precisely place the field on the base graphic.
Layer - decide whether the box should be above or below the graphic.
Font, Color, Alignment - adjust the text style.
๐ก Tip:
Use the Avatar field , to automatically insert the participant's profile picture. Remember to select "Under the graphic" in the Layers settings . This will make the avatar appear in the transparent area of your template.
Step 4: Configure the sharing settings
In the last tab, "Sharing Settings", you can prepare ready-made content and places to publish the generated graphics.
Social Media - Enable sharing on platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn or X (Twitter). You can define the default content of the post.
Landing Page - Configure a dedicated page where participants can generate and download their graphics. You can customize the title, description and even a link to redirect after the image is generated.
How does a participant generate a graphic?
When the template is ready and active, participants can find the option to generate graphics:
In the web application: on their profile or on a specially prepared landing page.
In the mobile app: as one of the items in the main navigation menu.
When you go to the generator, the system will automatically download the participant's data, place it in the template and create an image ready to share.
If the participant does not have an uploaded photo, his initials will appear in place of the avatar . He will also have the option to upload a photo directly from this level in the application.
