Gamification is a powerful tool for engaging participants. In addition to standard tasks, the Gridaly platform allows you to create advanced, interactive challenges that require participants to enter a password, scan a special QR code or fill out a form or test. This is a great way to add variety to the gameplay and direct attention to specific elements of your event.

What are the most common questions and answers about advanced tasks?
Password task
Want to hide a clue in the speaker's presentation or in the description of one of the sessions? The password task is perfect for that! The participant will have to enter the correct password to earn points.
β
How to set this up?
Go to the event management panel, then to the section Grywalization -> Tasks.
Create a new task or edit an existing one.
In the Task type field, select "Enter password" from the list .
A new field "Required text" will appear . Enter in it the password that participants will have to guess.
Important: The password can only consist of letters (without Polish characters), numbers, hyphens
(-
) and underscores(_
).
Complete the remaining fields (task name, points, description) and save the changes.
The participant, after selecting this task in the application, will see a field to enter the password. Once the correct answer is entered, points will be automatically awarded.
"QR Code Scanning" Task.
QR codes are a great way to encourage attendees to visit exhibitor booths, lecture halls or other physical locations during an event.
β
How do you set this up?
In the Gamification -> Tasks panel, create or edit a task.
Select "QR code scanning" as the Task Type.
In the "QR code value" field, enter the unique text or code that will be "sewn" into the QR code. This can be, for example,
booth_exhibitor_X
orsecret_location_123
.Remember that this string, like the password, can only contain letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores.
Generate QR code. The Gridaly system does not create a QR code image. You need to use an external tool for this purpose. There are many free online QR code generators (e.g. a href="https://www.qr-online.pl/ " target="_blank">qr-online.co.uk</a>, a href="https://www.the-qrcode-generator.com/ " target="_blank">The QR Code Generator</a>).
In the generator, paste exactly the same value you entered in the "QR code value" field.
Download the generated image of the QR code, print it out and place it at a location of your choice in the event area.
When the participant scans the code with the scanner in the Gridaly app, the system will compare the value from the code with the one recorded in the task and if they match, award points.
Task linked to a Form or Test
You can reward participants with points for just completing a survey or for getting a corresponding score in a knowledge test.
β
How do you set this up?
First, make sure you have already created the appropriate form or test in the Engagement -> Forms module .
Go to Gamification -> Tasks and create a new task.
Select the appropriate Task Type:
"Send a form response": Points will be awarded for simply submitting a form response (such as a satisfaction survey).
"Pass the test": Points will be awarded only if the participant passes the test (scores the required number of points in the form configured as a test).
After selecting the type, an additional field "Form" will appear below . Select from the drop-down list this form or test to which the task applies.
Option for tests: if you have selected the "Pass the test" type, you can additionally check the option "Count points proportionally to the form score". This way, a participant who scored 80% in the test will receive 80% of the points from the pool defined in the task.
Save the changes.

Can I assign a task with a password to a specific session in the agenda?
The task itself has no direct link to another module (e.g., a session), but nothing prevents you as an organizer from including a keynote or QR code in the session description, on the speaker's presentation, or anywhere else you want to direct participants to.
