Good organization of the agenda is the key to the success of any event. With proper categorization, attendees can easily find the agenda items that interest them and navigate the schedule more efficiently.

From this article you will learn:

  • What they are and how to use Program Point Types.

  • How to use Tags to describe a session in detail.

  • How to highlight key agenda points with a special option and colors.

Types of Program Points

Types help attendees quickly get an idea of the nature of a particular agenda item. They inform whether it is a lecture, a workshop, a panel discussion, or perhaps a networking break.

How to assign a Type to a Program Point?

  1. In the admin panel, in the menu on the left, go to Program β†’ Agenda.

  2. Add a new agenda item by clicking the "+" button , or edit an existing one.

  3. In the form, in the section with basic information, you will find the field "Type". Select the appropriate value from the list, such as Lecture, Workshop or Networking.

  4. Save the changes.

Participants will be able to filter the agenda based on these types, making it easier for them to plan their participation in the event.

Tags

Tags allow you to categorize your content in even more detail. You can use them to mark the level of sophistication (e.g., for beginners), the language of the lecture (PL, EN), the target group (marketing, IT) or the topic.

How to add Tags to a Program Point?

  1. Before you assign tags, you must first create them in the event settings. Go to Settings β†’ Tags and add the tags you need, making sure they are enabled for the Agenda module .

  2. Then return to Program β†’ Agenda and enter edit the selected agenda item.

  3. In the form, in the "Content" section , find the "Tags" field . Here you can select one or more tags from the list.

  4. Save the changes.

Distinction and color

To draw your attendees' attention to the highlights, you can specifically highlight them.

The "Featured" option

This option visually highlights an item in certain agenda views, such as through a larger font or additional border.

  1. Go to edit the program point you want to highlight.

  2. Go to the "Optional Settings" tab .

  3. Check the box next to "Featured".

  4. Save the changes.

Color management

Colors are a great way to visually group topics or mark key sessions. The color of a program point can be inherited from the venue or assigned individually.

  • Individual color: In the "Optional settings" tab you will find the field "Highlight color". Here you can choose any color that will be assigned only to this one program point. It has the highest priority.

  • Inherited Color: If you don't set the color individually, a program item will inherit the color assigned to its location - that is, Space (for stationary and hybrid events) or Session (for online events). This allows you, for example, to label all lectures on the Main Stage with the same color.

FAQ

Can I add my own Program Point Types?

No, the list of types is predefined in the system and cannot be modified.

Will the color of the agenda item change automatically if I move it to another Space?

Yes, if there is no individual color set, when you change the location (Space or Session), the program point will automatically inherit the new color.

Where can participants see all these categories and tags?

Participants see them directly in the agenda on the event page. They can also use them to filter the list of agenda items to display only those that interest them.
